Your Profil
  • Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Photonics, Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of optics, lasers, and photonic integrated circuits (PICs); basic knowledge of mechatronics or automation is a plus
  • Initial experience in sales or a technical industry (e.g., mechanical or electrical engineering) is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and understandably
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity; adaptable, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to balance internal priorities and external stakeholder expectations
  • Team player who values cooperation and partnership
  • Independent, proactive, and structured working style with a high level of reliability
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; other languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally as part of the role
Your responsibilities

As part of our Sales team at the headquarters campus in Achim, you will play an active role in managing international technical sales projects from the initial inquiry through to project handover, with a focus on the European sales region. You’ll gain hands-on experience and work closely with experienced colleagues across departments.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Preparing offers and technical sales documents in collaboration with the Sales Engineering team
  • Managing and tracking sales projects using internal CRM and planning tools
  • Supporting customer communication and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and Service
  • Assisting in the development of sales strategies and market activities
  • Gaining insight into contract negotiations and public tenders under the guidance of senior colleagues
  • Participating in trade shows and customer events to strengthen business relationships
