Zusammenfassung

Crown is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our European Commercial team on a major project in Frankfurt, Germany. This site-based rotational role offers flights and accommodation, with a Commercial Manager oversight and exposure to high-value construction work.

The successful candidate will support tendering, pricing, valuations, procurement and cost control while developing their commercial career on international projects.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline, or relevant construction experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
• Willingness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt.

Aufgaben

• Assist with tender preparation and pricing submissions.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Support interim valuations, variations and final accounts.

Whether you're a recent Quantity Surveying graduate or have some construction industry experience, this is an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial career while working alongside experienced professionals on large-scale international projects.

This is a site-based rotational position, so you'll need to be comfortable working away from home on a rotational basis. Flights and accommodation are provided.

The Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll support the commercial delivery of projects from tender stage through to final account, gaining exposure to every aspect of Quantity Surveying on high-value construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of tenders and pricing submissions.
• Carrying out quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities.
• Supporting interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Assisting with procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and site documentation.
• Assisting with subcontractor management and payment applications.
• Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams.
• Carrying out site measurements and progress assessments.
• Ensuring contractual documentation is maintained accurately and on time.
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of projects from start to finish.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and eager to build a long-term career in Quantity Surveying.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline, or relevant construction industry experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to work away from home on a rotational basis in Frankfurt, Germany.

Desirable

• Experience working on roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or commercial software.
