Leibniz University Hannover invites applications for a Junior Professorship (m/f/d) in the field of Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence and Causality. The position is located in Hanover, Germany, and is within salary scale W1 of the Lower Saxony system (NBesO). It is initially limited to three years with a renewal option for an additional three years.
The successful candidate will represent Trustworthy AI and Causality in research and teaching, advancing the state of the art in causal representation learning, causal models, and their applications in medicine. The role supports the interdisciplinary CAIMed research center, focusing on AI and personalized medicine to address diseases like cancer and cardiovascular conditions.
An excellent PhD in AI-related topics and relevant publications in trustworthy AI and causal methods are required. International collaboration experience and project management skills are advantageous. Courses will be taught in English.
