Job summary

VoiceLine in Munich is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own full-stack development, including AI features, backend depth, and product-area ownership. You will shape architecture, drive delivery, and collaborate with Product, Design, AI, and Data to ship impactful solutions.

You will mentor engineers, set quality standards, and coordinate with the CTO on technical direction while maintaining a strong connection to customer feedback and roadmap goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software engineering, full-stack with backend depth.
• Extensive JavaScript experience across backend and frontend.
• Proven track record shipping AI/LLM features to production.
• Experience using AI coding agents daily.
• Strong system design skills: APIs, data modeling, cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own entire product areas technically, from concept and system design through delivery, iteration and maintenance.
• Design and ship complex, scalable full-stack features with a strong backend focus.
• Lead AI-powered features from prototype to production, defining how we evaluate and measure their output.
• Drive architecture decisions, code quality and testing standards, and balance speed against long-term health.
• Shape how the team works with AI coding agents, shared context, conventions, documentation.
• Review the most critical work and mentor engineers so they grow and ship faster.
• Break down roadmap commitments into realistic technical plans and flag risks early.
• Bridge Product, Design, AI, Data and Customer Delivery.
• Talk directly with customers and turn insights into product decisions.

The Role

As a Senior Product Engineer, you build the web app, backend and AI features that our customers' field reps use every day. You work full-stack with backend depth and take technical ownership of whole product areas , from shaping the problem with Product and Design to architecture, delivery and iteration. You set the quality bar, mentor other engineers, and work closely with our Full Stack Engineering Lead and the CTO on technical direction.

Your Mission

• Review the most critical work and mentor engineers so they grow and ship faster

• Talk directly with customers and turn insights into product decisions

Your Profile

• 5+ years of production software engineering, full-stack with backend depth
• Extensive JavaScript experience across backend and frontend
• A proven track record of shipping AI/LLM features to production and evaluating them rigorously
• Daily use of AI coding agents
• Strong system design skills: APIs, data modeling, cloud infrastructure, observability
• Experience owning a product area or major feature end to end, including technical decisions and trade-offs
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising the bar through code reviews
• Comfort with frontend work and care for UI/UX
• Clear communication with engineers and non-engineers, including customers
• Excellent written and spoken English
