Job Description
- Own processes related to withholding taxes, including daily reconciliation and settlement, to ensure flawless financial services.
- Analyze tax events in our retail business to support problem-solving, decision-making, and corrective actions.
- Create concepts to optimize processes concerning capital gains tax, church tax, solidarity surcharge, and financial transaction taxes, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Perform annual tests of tax certificate calculations and prepare internal training for client-facing teams.
- Identify and communicate legislative changes, supporting their implementation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Completed a banking apprenticeship or hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
- Experience in securities services, brokerage, or asset management; experience in a bank’s middle or back office is advantageous.
- Knowledge of securities and banking processes, including taxation related to corporate actions, securities transfers, on-exchange trading, and interest payments.
- Proven ability to work in a time-sensitive environment, managing priorities while maintaining quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
