Job Description

1. Own processes related to withholding taxes, including daily reconciliation and settlement, to ensure flawless financial services.
2. Analyze tax events in our retail business to support problem-solving, decision-making, and corrective actions.
3. Create concepts to optimize processes concerning capital gains tax, church tax, solidarity surcharge, and financial transaction taxes, collaborating with internal stakeholders.
4. Perform annual tests of tax certificate calculations and prepare internal training for client-facing teams.
5. Identify and communicate legislative changes, supporting their implementation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

1. Completed a banking apprenticeship or hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
2. Experience in securities services, brokerage, or asset management; experience in a bank’s middle or back office is advantageous.
3. Knowledge of securities and banking processes, including taxation related to corporate actions, securities transfers, on-exchange trading, and interest payments.
4. Proven ability to work in a time-sensitive environment, managing priorities while maintaining quality.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
