From solutions to make better use of existing infrastructure to designing new 'energy efficient' structures, our international and multidisciplinary team in Frankfurt is successfully helping our clients to achieve these goals.

The Opportunity

Working in a international and multidisciplinary team of passionate design engineers and help us design high-quality, sustainable and innovative data center structures.

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer Data Center at Arup, you will:

  • Support the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for medium to large-scale data centre projects.
  • Support the development of innovative and sustainable solutions that address the unique challenges of data centre design.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, clients, and authorities.

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for graduates who is passionate about mechanical engineering and Data Centre design. We also value:

  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC/Plumbing/Fire Protection) or equivalen
  • Ideally, some first experience in mechanical design for data centres or related facilities.
  • Ideally, first Knowledge of relevant German codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in 3D BIM software, preferably Revit MEP.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. German language skills are a plus.
