Jobbeschreibung

Bring your data analytics and data mining skills to a unique team seeking to understand and shape the future of marketing technology. We are interested in technology adoption patterns, the respect of visitors' data, and the use of open source in marketing. We also seek marketing data analysts who are curious enough to embrace new technologies and are ready to work with unfamiliar tools, if needed.

The role of a Junior Marketing Analyst at Canonical

Canonical has provided developers with open source since 2004, helping them build innovations such as public cloud, machine learning, robotics, or blockchain. Marketing at Canonical means being at the forefront of innovation for our customers and our martech stack. We're looking for a marketing data analyst to join our team and execute our growth hacking strategy.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, technology marketing, and the use of technology in marketing. You will prefer an environment emphasizing ownership of campaigns, collaboration, learning, curiosity, and continuous improvement. You will also love problem-solving, hands-on work, experimentation, measurement, and automation to simplify daily tasks.

The Marketing team at Canonical drives commercial outcomes across its product portfolio and expands the market through digital campaigns, lifecycle management, events, partnerships, and community development. If driving growth, delighting customers, and filling the sales funnel motivate you, we want to talk with you.

This role reports to the Growth Engineering Manager within the Marketing team.

Location: This role is remote within the EMEA region.

What your day will look like

  1. Utilize advanced data analytics to grow Canonical's product adoption and market penetration.
  2. Focus on quantitative and qualitative data analytics to derive insights and business outcomes.
  3. Design and conduct experiments with data, visualization, and insights into Canonical's target audiences.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholder teams (Product Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, RevOps, etc.) to improve data and tool ecosystems.
  5. Implement and maintain systems to ensure teams have self-service access to data dashboards.

What we are looking for in you

  • Background in data science, mathematics, actuarial science, or engineering.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistics, data sciences, coding/scripting languages (Python, JS, etc.), and databases (SQL, etc.).
  • Strength in data analytics and visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau, Apache Superset, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business questions into research objectives.
  • Ability to select appropriate methodologies, synthesize, and analyze findings.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and resilience in facing challenges.

What we offer you

Your base salary will depend on factors such as location, experience, knowledge, and skills. Additional benefits may include bonuses and sales incentives based on revenue or utilization. Our compensation philosophy ensures equity across our global workforce.

Additional benefits include:

  • Fully remote work environment — we've been remote since 2004.
  • Personal learning and development budget of $2,000 USD annually.
  • Annual compensation reviews.
  • Recognition rewards.
  • Annual leave and parental leave.
  • Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Opportunities to travel for company events.
  • Travel benefits for long-haul events.
