Landewyck, a heritage tobacco manufacturer with over 175 years of history, is evolving. On top of our historical tobacco production activity, we have now embarked on an innovative journey to develop Next Generation Products that meet the diverse needs of Consumers worldwide.

Within our Leaf & Blending service, the Junior Manager, Leaf & Product Development is involved in all activities related to Raw Tobacco Purchasing.

Your mission :

1. Maintain recipes and specifications for all products sold by HVL group (cigarettes, fine cut, CBD products, nicotine pouches, heat-not-burn products, etc.) to fulfil Regulatory, Consumer And Market requirements at optimum cost.
2. Actively support the development of new product recipes and specifications.
3. Fulfil all tasks related to purchase, delivery, storage and supply to HVL group entities of raw tobacco in direct communication with leaf suppliers and service providers to ensure continuity and security of raw tobacco supply to production.
4. Support ensuring quality coherence and consistency of purchased leaf as well as quality and consistency of affected tobacco blends.
5. Execute administrative activities related to raw tobacco stock management and reporting to help ensure production in line with business requirements.
6. Support the budgeting process in line with business requirements to ensure security of leaf supply at optimum cost and profitability.

Your profile :

1. Fluent in English; German is an asset and any other languages are more than welcomed.
2. MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SAP skills are an asset.
3. First knowledge and understanding of Raw Tobacco Purchasing principles, crop cycles, and their financial implications.
4. First Leaf Blending, Casing & Flavour development and/or cigarette design expertise.
5. Scientific or technical educational background (academic or non-academic).
6. Experience of 1 to 3 years in a similar function within the Tobacco Industry is an asset.
7. An innovative mindset and thinking, hands-on attitude.
8. Quality and customer-oriented with the willingness to constantly learn and develop.
