As a Junior Logistics Engineer in our Contract Logistics Division, you will play a key role in shaping logistics solutions across 100+ locations in 20 countries. Your responsibilities will include designing data-driven warehouse layouts, supporting the implementation of new contracts in cross-functional teams, and contributing to innovation through automation and new technologies.
These are your key tasks:
- Analyze inbound and outbound logistics flows to determine optimal warehouse locations and layouts based on customer requirements.
- Translate customer data into physical processes and develop detailed warehouse designs, including labor, investment, and IT cost elements.
- Prepare and present data-driven proposals and solutions to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Collaborate with sales and site teams to support pricing and participate in customer meetings.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of project plans for new contract implementations, ensuring timely coordination across departments.
- Track project progress, provide updates to stakeholders, and monitor adherence to budgets.
- Evaluate existing processes for improvement opportunities and integrate innovative technologies such as automation into solutions.
- Share innovative ideas and best practices within the logistics engineering community
Requirements
- Master's degree (MSc) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field
- Entry-level or 2-3 years of relevant practical experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or warehouse process design
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in excel and/or other data processing tools; experience in handling complex data sets is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
- Interest in innovation and willingness to explore new technologies in logistics operations
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the EMEA region
