Job Description

As a (Junior) Investment Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping Scalable’s existing and future product offerings for our over 1 million wealth and broker clients. You will collaborate with seasoned portfolio managers, ETP traders, and (quantitative) financial engineers to leverage your understanding of ETFs, the asset management industry, advanced investment strategies, and risk management.

1. Propose, analyze, backtest, and implement changes to our asset allocation with several billion euros of assets under management, working with our portfolio managers.
2. Support data collection and prepare high-impact presentations for senior management and B2B partnerships.
3. Analyze performance, market, and other large datasets for reporting and insights.
4. Assist traders in daily order execution, market monitoring (FX, yields, spreads, etc.), and pre- / post-trade assessments to ensure smooth trading.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders across the company, including senior management, product managers, and engineers.
6. Participate in meetings with ETF issuers and stay updated on market developments.
7. Serve as a knowledge center for capital markets topics, including developing finance-related content for clients.

Qualifications

1. Excellent academic background in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Relevant experience from internships or employment in Asset Management, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Business Development.
3. Strong passion for financial markets and exchange-traded products (ETPs).
4. Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
5. Team player with attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
7. Experience with Python and SQL is a plus.
8. Additional qualifications like CFA progression are a plus.
9. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
