HelloBetter, a leader in digital healthcare, is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team. You will play a crucial role in developing scalable and effective digital health applications to support mental health initiatives. With a strong focus on innovation, you will establish the design of frontend applications and collaborate with cross-functional teams while enhancing existing systems. As part of our remote-first culture, you have the flexibility to work globally or utilize our offices in Berlin and Hamburg.

Developing IC L1: 53-61k € (gross, fix)* + VSOP (10% of annual gross salary)
*based on German benchmark, adjusted to local cost of living for remote hires

Your profile

Must Haves

• Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with design principles and patterns.
• Proficiency with Git and experience in version control workflows.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and API documentation.
• Comfortable working in agile environments.
• Open to integrating AI tools into development workflows.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with TypeScript and state management libraries.
• Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) frameworks, such as Next.js.
• Experience in writing component, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools like Jenkins.

Our applications cover a variety of areas, including stress management, depression, problematic alcohol use, panic disorder and anxiety, vaginismus, and sleep disorders.
