About the role

The successful applicant will have a primary focus on German onshore wind projects within the broader Northern Europe onshore wind market. You will be working in close collaboration with your German colleagues and our Northern Europe team and colleagues around the globe to provide onshore wind energy analytics, engineering and consulting services.

You will be involved in services supporting the planning, development, construction, and operation phases of wind farm projects. Our projects in the local unit vary across services such as wind resource assessments, energy production assessments, technical and/or commercial studies, technical due diligence, bankability reviews, construction monitoring, qualification of new technologies, and more.

Your tasks may not be limited to onshore wind but could involve other renewables such as (floating) offshore wind, solar, wave power and integrated energy systems as well.

The role will be focused for the better part on assessment of electricity production of wind farms according to DNV’s quality standards as accredited service considering the guideline FGW TR6. The work involves tasks in the field of meteorology and wind farm production with automation of, analysis of large data sets, service development, leading to wind resource and energy production assessments for onshore wind projects. The role could also include involvement in development assignments, technical due diligence assignments, strategic advisory assignments, specific individual solutions to complex problems, involvement in strategic research and development projects (internal and external) and support and preparation of offers, bids or participation in tender processes with complex technical tasks.

The overall purpose of the job is to support the on- and offshore wind team in its role to help DNV safeguard life, property and the environment and achieve our company vision: to be a trusted voice to tackle global transformations.

The role is permanent and based in Hamburg or Oldenburg, Germany.
