With facilities in Bloomington, Indiana, US and Halle/Westfalen, Germany, we offer a wide range of delivery systems including pre-filled syringes, liquid/lyophilized vials, diluents for reconstitution, powder-filled vials and sterile crystallization.

In the role as Junior Development Scientist (m/f/x), your overall focus is designing and managing development projects for small volume injectable products Independently, including small molecules, proteins, peptides, mAbs and ADCs.

In Your New Role, You Will Be Empowered To

  • Perform cost and time calculations as basis for customer proposals
  • Interpret analytical and other data and summarize both verbally and in scientific reports
  • Develop, implement and optimize state-of-the-art techniques and procedures in the field of formulation, lyophilization or analytical development. Develop a deeply differentiated technical skill set to contribute to department capabilities for product development
  • Independently carry out an applied research program in a relevant area of science and technology with the objectives of developing our internal capabilities as well as maintaining external visibility of our R&D group
  • Utilize operational excellence and statistical tools to improve experimental design, process efficiency, or quality/compliance

What you'll bring:

  • Master’s degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent alternative bachelor’s degree in the respective fields plus 2 years in pharmaceutical industry also acceptable
  • Knowledge in analytical/pharmaceutical chemistry
  • Self-motivated, high energy-level, ability to handle projects in parallel
  • Organized, structured and results-oriented approach to work with pronounced “hands-on mindset”
  • Team spirit and well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in connection with good written and spoken German and excellent English skills
  • Statistical skills and ability to use standard statistical software
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as experience with laboratory management systems and electronic laboratory notebooks desirable
