(Junior) Data Scientist (f/m/d) – Tableau

Location: Hamburg, München

We integrate data from surveys, social media and first party data and employ state of the art technology to generate insights and data products.

The Data Science team is working on the digital transformation of processes, data products and on customer-specific solutions in the areas of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Reporting/Visualisation, and on building a Data Lake and Analytics Platform.

Your tasks
  • Develop analytical solutions and sophisticated visualizations in the areas of customer understanding, branding and product innovation, using BI tools like Tableau
  • Develop your analytical domain expertise to generate the right KPIs from a wide variety of structured and unstructured data and advise internal and external clients on insights generation
  • Build and Deploy Data Pipelines on to enable these analytical insights with Python and Alteryx
  • Drive the development of cloud-based and hybrid data storage & business intelligence platforms
  • Gain hands-on experience with new and state of the art data platforms and programming languages
  • Collaborate with talented data scientists, data engineers and data analysis experts and market researchers
  • Develop new ideas, do research, and implement prototypes and PoCs within the Data Science team - always with the aim of taking the skills of the whole
Your profile
  • You have hands-on experience in Analytics, answering business questions with analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI and are curious about learning new technologies
  • You have strong knowledge of Python and practical experience with relevant libraries like Pandas, experience in the ETL / ELT area is a plus. If you are experienced in VBA, database systems / SQL and have worked in agile teams – even better!
  • Very good quantitative degree (M.Sc.), e.g., in STEM, Social Science, Quantitative Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields
  • You are a team player, have the mindset of an inhouse consultant and love to drive topics that you own instead of being told what exactly to do
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written) - German is a plus!
