Overview: To strengthen our team, we are looking for Junior Catastrophe Risk Analysts / Naturgefahrenmodellierer (m/w/d) at our locations in Munich or Cologne.

How you will make an impact:

1. Modeling and assessing natural hazard risks using commercial and self-developed models.
2. Preparing and presenting reports and presentations (German/English) to European insurers, focusing on the German-speaking market.
3. Collaborating scientifically on the evaluation of commercial models with scientists from a global network.
4. Working closely with catastrophe analysts, actuaries, and brokers in an international environment with teams in Munich, Cologne, London, and Mumbai.

About you:

• University degree in a natural science or equivalent qualification.
• Ideally, some professional experience in (re)insurance and/or natural hazard modeling.
• Excellent English and German language skills, both spoken and written.
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Quick comprehension, commitment, and structured working style.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel.
