Jobbeschreibung

Your mission

Do you want to build something that’s never been done before?
Join us in designing and launching our First-of-a-Kind (tFOAK) facility — a project pushing the boundaries of climate-tech innovation. As our Junior Automation Engineer, you’ll own critical parts of the automation and instrumentation, and see your ideas turn into real-world impact — fast.
We are looking for a hands-on engineer ready to tackle non-linear processes, crunch times, and unique challenges. You’ll be part of a small, high-impact automation team, working across instrumentation design, market research, and procurement, while collaborating closely with mechanical and process engineers. Expect a steep learning curve and the opportunity to shape a truly pioneering project.

  • Instrumentation & Electronics Design:
    • PLC & Scada
    • Control system programming
    • Develop wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and instrumentation layouts.
    • Support troubleshooting and calibration of measurement systems.
  • Market Research & Procurement:
    • Identify and evaluate suitable sensors, measurement devices, and electronic components.
    • Compare technical specifications, vendor offers, and cost optimization in alignment with project needs.
    • Coordinate with suppliers for lead times, delivery, and testing.
  • Testing & Commissioning:
    • System software testing
    • Plan and execute calibration and validation tests for all sensors and electrical systems.
    • Support on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of first-of-a-kind setups.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Prepare detailed documentation (technical manuals, schematics, calibration reports).
    • Ensure compliance with CE and industrial safety standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with plant operators to understand their needs, provide technical support, and help refine operator interfaces (HMIs) for clarity and ease of use.
    • Actively contribute to problem-solving during crunch periods with quick iterations and design adjustments.
