The Accounting Specialist will join the Finance Team and will be responsible mainly for General Ledger tasks and contact with local tax advisers, will be managing accounting activities for various subsidiaries within the EMEA region, collecting CSR data, maintaining credit limits, and supporting cash collections.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update local statutory books (HGB) and ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting standards for two German Holding Entities
- Oversee accounting activities for assigned subsidiaries in the EMEA region.
- Collect and compile Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) data.
- Monitor and maintain credit limits for customers.
- Support the cash collections process to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Act as point of contact person for the Sales Guys in Switzerland (2 Persons) and Benelux (2 Persons)
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Office environment with occasional travel abroad to subsidiaries.
- Flexible time management (no core working hours)
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Accountant (IHK), International Accountant(IHK)
- Strong knowledge of local statutory accounting principles, US-GAAP knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
