Imagry is looking for a Jr. Application Engineer in Herford, Germany, with strong motivation to succeed in the industry.

You will be responsible for the entire car/bus software and hardware testing pipeline, issue reporting, and team communication.

This position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience in features testing within the autonomous driving industry.

The role requires spending long hours in vehicles and some physical work. Please note, this is not an office-based position!

Long-term travel to support projects abroad is also required.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the software test cycle, including running test scenarios, configuration management, and code debugging.
2. Report main software/hardware issues to the appropriate engineers, demonstrating understanding of the technology and ability to identify problem locations and responsible parties.
3. Ensure cameras in vehicles are clean and oversee physical maintenance of the vehicles.
4. Manage all computers and hardware within the vehicles.
5. Participate in demos for visitors and describe the product effectively.

Qualifications:

• Practical engineering experience in any technical domain.
• Hands-on experience with C++ or similar languages (advantage).
• Experience with git, docker (advantage).
• Valid driving license is mandatory.
• Willingness to perform software testing and drive in vehicles for at least 6 hours daily; most testing occurs in vehicles.
• Good communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written, with the ability to write clear reports.
• Familiarity with the autonomous vehicle field (advantage).
• Willingness to work and travel between sites in Germany, Israel, and abroad, including long-term stays (2-3 months) at customer sites abroad.
• Mandatory: First-month training in Israel.
