The Opportunity: As an expert in defense missions, your unique background inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don’t. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve some of our clients’ most complex problems—and find solutions that keep our nation safe.

As a Joint Operational Planner you’ll bring your strong foundation in staff officer skills and joint combatant command expertise to work alongside thought leaders in a complex military environment. Experience in stakeholder management will be essential as you engage with various partners to align objectives and ensure seamless communication. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with teams to address frequently evolving requirements, requiring you to adapt quickly and contribute beyond your immediate responsibilities when necessary. Your understanding of Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) and Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) will be critical in aligning data-driven solutions with modern military strategies. Success in this position will also require a proactive mindset, a willingness to step outside your defined role when needed, initiative, and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a high-tempo operational setting.

You Have
  • Experience with business process improvement in a military environment
  • Experience with military systems of record such as Command and Control in the Information Environment (C2IE), and Palantir products, including Maven Smart Systems, SharePoint, and OneBrief
  • Knowledge of operations at a Joint Combatant Command level
  • Knowledge of the Operations, Activities, and Investments lifecycle
  • Knowledge of mission planning across the full spectrum of operations to include steady state, crisis, and conflict
  • Ability to integrate technology to assist with business processes and reduction of redundant manual efforts
  • Ability to communicate with military officers, including Generals
  • Ability to work across teams to achieve the desired outcome
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in planning alongside U.S. Allies and partners
  • Knowledge of data best practices and data management such as data creation, collection, curation, integration, and visualization
  • Ability to develop workshops and dashboards using existing object sets
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
