Scientific Staff Member for inclusion of CMOS detector technology into the Universal Bayesian Imaging Kit (UBIK) (PhD)
  • development of fast, accurate, and differentiable digital twin for CMOS detector technology
  • automation of the detector characterization
  • algorithmic development of atmospheric phase fluctuation compensation using high cadence astronomical CMOS data

Key Requirements:

  • completed university degree in physics, mathematics, or computer science
  • knowledge and experience in information field theory
  • excellent mathematical skills and good numerical programming skills in Python
Scientific Staff Member for inclusion of radio telescopes into the Universal Bayesian Imaging Kit (UBIK) (PhD)
  • development of fast, accurate, and differentiable digital twins of existing radio telescope arrays for the UBIK framework
  • development of fast instrument specific calibration methods
  • multi-instrument demonstration of UBIK including radio and non-radio telescopes
