IT Project Coordinator (m / f / d) - Communication and Information Center (kiz), Information Systems Department

Scope: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated IT Project Coordinator for the Communication and Information Center, part of the Information Systems Department. With around 140 employees, kiz is the second largest central institution at Ulm University, providing services in research, teaching, studies, and administration, including library, information technology, and media.

The Information Systems department manages application systems for university administration, e-learning, and library services, and develops or implements IT applications within projects.

This role offers an exciting and varied position with independent responsibilities in the scientific field.

Your Profile:
  • Completed university degree (diploma or master's) in (business) computer science or comparable field
  • Deep knowledge of project management methods (planning, control, communication, documentation) and supporting software tools in complex implementation projects and process management (UML, BPMN)
  • Detailed knowledge of client-server architectures (J2EE, Tomcat), SQL databases (PostgreSQL), network file systems (NTFS, CIFS, NFS), archive systems, IT security, and relational databases
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL v3, reporting platforms, campus, personnel, and document management systems, as well as interface technologies (XML, WebServices, SQL, CSV)
  • Fluent in German and good knowledge of English
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, independent working style, and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in conception and implementation of technical project goals for research information systems (HIS RES) and doctoral administration systems (HIS DOC)
  • Participation in project meetings with HIS consultants and workshops
  • IT support for partial product implementations in specialized departments
  • Development and administration of university-wide IT solutions for research management
  • Process adaptation for research data management and doctoral administration at Ulm University
  • Concept development, commissioning, and initial support for operational systems
  • Mapping research workflows and creating/maintaining forms
  • Development and implementation of operating concepts following ITIL standards
  • Design and delivery of user training sessions
