Job profile

Would you like to support the Federal Police's ICT service provider? With your expertise, you can help to optimize the IT of the Federal Police and thus ensure the work of our 54,000 colleagues.

You will detect cyberattacks on the IT infrastructure of the Federal Police and analyze security-relevant events. You will also develop and test detection mechanisms. Your responsibilities will also include helping to design processes for investigating cyber attacks and working on development projects to implement security solutions for the IT of the Federal Police.

Requirements profile

• Completed (technical) university / bachelor's degree in (technical) computer science, business informatics, administrative informatics, electrical engineering and information technology, communications engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering (focus : engineering) or computer science-related course of study (possibility of civil servant status in the higher administrative service) or
• Completed three-year computer science-related vocational training (e.g. IT specialist) (employment as a tariff employee)
• Willingness to undergo continuous further training in cyber security, network monitoring and analysis
• Team and communication skills
• Structured and analytical approach as well as a high capacity for abstraction
• Willingness to take responsibility and perform
• German language skills : business fluent in spoken and written (at least level C1)

Desirable are :

• Knowledge of Internet technologies, network protocols, attack methods against systems and computer networks

Recruitment is generally intended as a tariff employee. Classification is in accordance with the collective agreement provisions of the TV EntgO Bund and the existing personal requirements in pay group 11.

If the requirements (completed IT degree and / or relevant professional experience) are not met, the employee will be placed in a lower pay group.
