Development Engineer / CAD Designer Mechanical Integration (m/f/d)

Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH in Kassel is seeking a development engineer responsible for the holistic mechanical integration of scaffolding kits in military vehicles. Responsibilities include:

• Executing customer-specific projects in compliance with design guidelines and specifications in an interdisciplinary team
• Creating design concepts for scaffolding sets and integrating vehicle-specific components
• Developing design documents, documentation, calculations, and production-ready drawings
• Conducting feasibility studies and technical analyses for new projects
• Supporting the team leader in creating work packages
• Supporting verification and validation of designs

Qualifications:

• Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or related field
• Experience with design, especially sheet metal and bending designs
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar
• Fluent German and good English skills
• Strong teamwork and independent working skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
