Primary Function of Position :

The Clinical Territory Associate (CTA) will work closely with the Clinical Sales Manager to gain knowledge in all aspects of our business, including technical, clinical, and sales. He or she will train to become a da Vinci Surgery technical and sales expert across all primary surgical specialties to develop surgical robotics programs in the assigned territory. During the first year, the CTA will focus on technical and clinical aspects, and in the second year, they will begin to focus on sales. The CTA will support a specific region by maximizing the utilization of installed da Vinci Surgical Systems through product demonstrations, in-services, and sales activities.

This position is developmental and requires a high level of commitment.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  1. Case Support - Provide guidance, insight, and training to surgical teams on the use of the da Vinci Surgical System.
  2. Product Demonstrations / In-Services - Lead technical in-services for customers, including OR staff and surgeons.
  3. Selling Activities - Contribute to quarterly sales goals by influencing customer behavior through demonstrations, in-services, and support trainings.
  4. Customer Support - Support regional sales and marketing events to promote system awareness and procedure adoption.
  5. Administrative Duties - Manage reporting of sales and procedures, expense reports, and online modules using company software.
  6. Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany after training, providing guidance on handling of medical devices.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

  • Minimum 1 year sales or leadership experience.
  • Fluent in English and the local language.
  • Ambition and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to excel in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
  • Proven team effectiveness.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
