Java Software Developer (Backend Design & Architecture)

Location: Karlsruhe, Germany - Hybrid model

What You'll Do

• Develop and redesign backend components of a proprietary migration tool (agent-based, no frontend)
• Work on architecture improvements, code quality, and performance optimization
• Maintain and build agent modules for individual client use cases
• Collaborate with a self-organized technical team including project owners and architects
• Help shape processes, tackle edge-case data issues, and contribute to internal tooling

What You'll Have

• Strong Java programming skills and interest in backend design/architecture
• Ability to understand JavaScript (no specific framework required)
• Experience with REST, SOAP, JDBC, XML/JSON, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Git, Maven, Jenkins
• German language at C1 level (must), English for internal use
• Independent mindset, proactive problem-solving, and collaborative attitude
