Position Overview

For the Greater Ingolstadt Area, we are looking for a Software Engineer responsible for:

1. Taking over software engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, and testing.
2. Designing software and interfaces with considerations for feasibility, reusability, maintainability, safety, performance, and security.
3. Ensuring compliance with relevant standards in software and aircraft development.
4. Contributing to agile processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and enhancing automation.
5. Collaborating within the project team and with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in object-oriented programming, preferably in aeronautics or defense sectors.
• Experience with MIDS and threat/sensor analysis is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Java ecosystem and application of current technologies.
• Proficiency with source code management, UML, OO design, and design patterns.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Motivated to learn new technologies and improve development processes.
• Strong team player with self-organization skills and high-quality standards.
