Within our International Trade Management team, we are looking for an

ITM CUSTOMS SPECIALIST (ALL GENDERS)

to help drive excellence in trade compliance across Europe and beyond.

You’ll be at the heart of NSK’s international trade operations, ensuring customs compliance, managing authorisations, and supporting the business across Europe and the UK. In detail, you will:

1. Lead AEO compliance through internal audits, export control, and denied party screening
2. Act as the primary liaison with Dutch Customs and the Dutch Chamber of Commerce
3. Maintain and monitor customs licenses, authorisations, and compliance processes
4. Deliver insights via reports, audits, and risk assessments
5. Provide expert advice and training on customs and trade matters to teams across Europe
6. Take charge of customs-related projects, working cross-functionally to deliver results
7. Support internal and external audits and inspections
8. Monitor legislative changes and ensure procedures are always up to date

Your profile:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in customs and international trade
2. Strong knowledge of import/export legislation, origin rules, tariff classification, bonded warehousing, and special procedures (IP, OP, RGR, etc.)
3. Proven experience in working with UK and EU customs authorities
4. Hands-on experience in reading and interpreting trade legislation
5. Exposure to export control procedures and preferential origin processes
6. Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
7. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
8. Confident communicator and trainer, able to engage both internal teams and external bodies
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
