Job Summary

Build a team to review and refine new security solutions and tools designed to protect HVDC/FACTS systems. Collaborate with technical experts across departments to ensure these solutions meet the latest security standards and address potential threats in IT/OT environments. Evaluate new cybersecurity technologies and organize/create proof-of-concept implementations.

Responsibilities

1. Test and evaluate new cybersecurity technologies and implement them upon positive assessment.
2. Plan, implement, and maintain IT/OT infrastructures with a focus on cybersecurity, including firewalls, routing, and switches.
3. Ensure protection against cyberattacks through the deployment of the latest technologies.
4. Support automation and optimization of production processes.
5. Collaborate with the Control & Automation team to integrate new technologies.
6. Perform troubleshooting and continuous improvement of IT/OT systems.

Key Requirements

• Degree in network/communication engineering, computer science, IT security, or relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge in IT administration (network security, Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, virtualization, firewalls, remote access).
• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, preferably in critical infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency in German (C1) and English (C1).

Nice to Have

• Experience in OT cybersecurity.
• Experience in automation technology.
• Teamwork, communication skills, and an independent, solution-oriented work approach.

Additional Details

• Work hours: 35 hours/week
• Location: Erlangen
• Home office possible upon agreement, mainly work on-site in the "Labor" with the team.
