The federally owned Wismut GmbH has been remediating and recultivating the regions in Saxony and Thuringia that were shaped by uranium mining for over three decades. As an internationally significant reference project for pioneering technologies in the remediation of radioactive contaminated sites, the company's employees are facing one of the greatest ecological and technical challenges of our time.
In the Information Technology department at the Chemnitz site, a position is available from 01.08.2025 as a
IT systems technician (m/f/d)
to be filled for an indefinite period.
Your area of responsibility includes the following activities
- Providing IT support from first to second level (e.g. recording, rectifying faults and carrying out maintenance work)
- Setting up and expanding IT workstations and instructing employees
- Administration of a sub-area within the existing system environment
- Installation and support of hardware and software solutions
- Collaboration on exciting IT projects and support with the implementation of existing software solutions and the introduction of new systems
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) or a comparable vocational qualification - ideally with additional qualifications in IT or systems engineering
- Several years of professional experience in setting up and supporting computer, server and network technology desirable
- Very good written and spoken German skills
- Good organizational skills, ability to work in a team and communication skills

The classification is in remuneration group 5 according to the collective agreement for the ore mining sector. This corresponds to a starting salary of 4,022 euros (gross) per month.
