Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to oversee and advance our industrial IT landscape. You will manage LAN/WAN/VPN networks, VMware vSphere and Proxmox environments, and central storage systems, while maintaining Microsoft and Linux server estates.

The role includes PKI management, certificate automation, and IT security planning, with collaboration across departments and occasional international travel.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree or equivalent qualification in IT or business IT.
• Extensive experience in administering complex IT infrastructures in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of network administration (LAN/WAN/VPN, routing, firewalls, VLANs).
• Deep virtualization experience (VMware, Proxmox).
• In-depth IT security and backup systems knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Server and Linux distributions.
• Knowledge of SQL, Azure, cloud or S/4HANA integrations advantageous.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Structured, independent, precise work style; team oriented.
• Willingness to travel occasionally internationally.

Aufgaben

• Administer and develop network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN/firewalls).
• Operate and maintain VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE environments.
• Operate and maintain central storage systems and server estates.
• Manage Microsoft and Linux server environments and their services.
• Integrate sites and subsidiaries into the existing landscape.
• Oversee SSL/TLS certificates and internal PKI structures; automate renewals.
• Document IT security, backups, and modernization projects.
• Support cloud and hybrid solutions such as Azure and SAP BTP.
• Collaborate with internal teams, subsidiaries, partners and external providers.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ongoing operations; interface with building services for power systems.

• Administering and further developing the network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewalls)
• Operating and maintaining physical and virtual servers, such as VMware vSphere and Proxmox VE
• Operating and maintaining central storage systems
• Managing and maintaining the Microsoft and Linux server environments
• Technically integrating sites and subsidiaries into the existing systems landscape
• Managing and monitoring SSL/TLS certificates and internal PKI structures
• Automating certificate renewals and security monitoring as part of centralized certificate management
• Coordinating, implementing, and documenting IT security and backup concepts
• Supporting the implementation of cloud and hybrid solutions, such as Microsoft Azure and SAP BTP
• Collaborating with internal departments, subsidiaries, partners, and external IT service providers
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance in ongoing operations
• Serving as the interface with building services for UPS systems, emergency power supplies, and early fire detection

Requirements

• Completed degree in (Business) Information Technology, vocational training as an IT specialist (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience administering complex IT infrastructures in industrial or production environments
• In-depth knowledge of network administration (LAN/WAN/VPN, routing, firewalls, VLANs)
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Proxmox)
• In-depth knowledge of IT security and backup systems
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Server and Linux distributions
• Knowledge of SQL, Azure, cloud, or S/4HANA integrations is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English
• Structured, independent working style with a high degree of technical precision

• Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel
