To meet new demands, we are restructuring and strengthening the IT Infrastructure Services (IT-IS) team responsible for running IT virtualisation systems. We currently operate several VMware ESX clusters to deliver virtual machines across a heterogeneous IT landscape. In addition to supporting these infrastructures, we need your help in setting up a cloud computing infrastructure based on OpenStack and Kubernetes. The goal is to provide scalable Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions for core IT operations and scientific IT teams.
At HZB, we are facing the exciting challenge of rethinking our entire IT infrastructure, focusing heavily on automated and containerized solutions, especially Kubernetes, for flexible, secure, and future-proof application deployment in scientific and IT areas. You will have a meaningful role with real responsibility, where your experience and ideas are valued. Together, we develop solutions that provide our scientists with the digital tools they need for future research.
The employment is unlimited, with salary based on the TVöD-Bund agreement.
