IT System Administrator - Linux & Automation (f / m / d)

Your responsibilities
- Deploy Linux systems through installation, patching, and automation; define and implement security and governance policies; contribute to the standardization of Linux deployments globally.
- Utilize modern automation tools, manage the Ansible Automation Platform, and develop creative solutions for automating log management, performance analysis, availability monitoring, and more.
- Respond promptly to issues in Linux installations or with the Ansible platform, providing immediate support when needed.
- Operate and ensure the stability of other applications and systems, participate in the design, implementation, and rollout of new features and technologies.
- Maintain high standards for security, quality, and compliance by creating appropriate testing and production environments.
- Monitor the entire system landscape, including applications, tools, and incident/change processes, ensuring smooth operation through careful management and second-level support.
- Define key performance and availability metrics, analyze hardware and software reports, and track system goals and statuses.
Your profile
- Completed studies in (business) computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT specialist).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in system administration, scripting/programming languages, IT infrastructure, security, and ITIL.
- Deep expertise in automation tools (Ansible) and Linux.
- Practical experience with agile project methodologies.
- Willingness to be on call.
- Analytical thinking, high problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop sustainable solutions.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
