Your Responsibilities and Duties

• Network infrastructure:Primary responsibility for the administration and further development of our network infrastructure and corresponding security systems, including firewall, proxy, VPN and DMZ.
• System administration: Support and representation in the administration & monitoring of on-premise or cloud-based systems such as Windows servers, virtualization environments, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, backup solutions, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 Admin Center and backend IT applications.
• 1st&2ndlevel IT support:Solving problems and requests that arise to ensure stable and secure IT operations for the responsible systems, as well as supporting the entire IT team in other IT tasks.
• User administration:Administration of users and access accounts in the Active Directory, administration of group guidelines, access controls and security guidelines.
• Hardware and software management:Procurement and management of the required hardware and software, including license management and cost control during operation.
• Process optimization and documentation:Creation of documentation and optimization of processes for the continuous improvement of IT operations - both internally for the IT department and as a service for the company.
• Project management:Independent implementation of projects in collaboration with external service providers and the parent company to expand existing systems or introduce new technical solutions and conversions.

Your Skills and Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in an IT profession and at least 5 years of professional experience as an IT administrator with a broad range of knowledge.
• Very good knowledge of network infrastructure and network security, including routing, switching, firewall, LAN/VLAN/WLAN, protocols, certificate management, 802.1x, RADIUS, VLAN, VPN and MPLS.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems and working with group policies.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft technology environment, in particular MS Server, Exchange Online, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Azure Services, Microsoft 365 Services, Entra ID, etc.
• Experience in scripting with PowerShell is desirable.
• A strong service and customer orientation, paired with good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Strong analytical thinking, good self-organization through methodical work in routine tasks as well as in projects with appropriate project management methods.
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics in a dynamic IT environment and to take on responsibility.
