Job summary

Alpine Metal Tech Group is seeking an IT System Administrator to join our team in Dillingen/Saar (Germany) or Regau (Upper Austria). You will manage and enhance the IT infrastructure, ensure security, and support users across Germany and Austria.

The role requires solid experience in system administration, strong German and English skills, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic, international group.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable qualification.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Independent and structured way of working with the ability to learn new subjects autonomously.
• Several years of professional experience in system administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop the IT infrastructure (Windows, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs).
• Manage central IT systems and security solutions (FortiGate, Exchange Online, VMware).
• Handle IT security and vulnerability management, including alerts and remediation measures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Linux-based monitoring and security systems.
• Administer network and telecommunications (Cisco systems).
• Provide IT support at locations in Germany and Austria.

At our location in Dillingen/Saar (Germany) or Regau (Upper Austria), we are offering a career opportunity as an IT System Administrator ("m/f/d") to a competent, team-oriented, and performance-driven individual:

Responsibilities

• Administration, monitoring and continuous development of the IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Windows systems and services, Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP and Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• Administration of central IT systems and security solutions within the AMT Group, including FortiGate firewalls, Exchange Online and VMware virtualization solutions
• IT security and vulnerability management, particularly the assessment of current security alerts as well as the planning and implementation of appropriate measures
• Monitoring and troubleshooting, particularly the administration and continuous development of Linux-based monitoring and security systems
• Administration of the network and telecommunications infrastructure, including the installation, configuration and administration of Cisco systems
• IT support and user assistance at our locations in Germany and Austria

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable qualification
• Independent and structured way of working, combined with the ability to familiarize yourself with new subject areas and technologies on your own initiative
• Several years of professional experience in system administration as well as sound knowledge of client and server operations
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
• High level of commitment and flexibility
