mitcaps GmbH in Mainz is seeking a competent System Engineer (m/f/d) to manage and support internal systems. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for employees, handling troubleshooting and support for user systems.

You will work with Microsoft and Linux systems, provide on-site and remote assistance, and participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding. We offer a modern work environment, training opportunities, and a company pension plan.

This is what you can expect with us:

• You will support all internal applications as well as user systems, in particular monitoring and ticket systems, databases, ERP, etc.
• You will support our users, i.e. employees, both remotely (via Webex) and on-site and our client systems, especially Windows notebooks, iPhones and Cisco VoIP telephony
• You will provide ambitious support in the Network Operation Center to support our client systems.
• You will handle trouble tickets, initiate initial analysis and perform standardized resolution actions.
• You document the support procedures, the solutions in the internal knowledge base.
• You perform specialist tasks and small projects, such as installations in our data centers.
• You support the team in onboarding and training new colleagues.
• After successful onboarding, you will actively participate in the rolling on-call system.

Your qualifications:

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and MS Office applications
• (Initial) know-how of Linux system administration with Debian and/or Ubuntu with 1st and 2nd level support experience
• Basic understanding of server admin in the area of Linux/Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, WAN network infrastructure and practical knowledge of common software and hardware
• German language skills at native level and good English skills
