We are looking for an IT Support Specialist (m/f/d) to strengthen the IT solutions and support team at Luxendo GmbH in Heidelberg, Germany.

Our products, the HIVE as well as high-end workstations for research instrumentation, are unique solutions designed to provide researchers with cutting-edge IT infrastructure without requiring expert knowledge. The HIVE serves as a high-speed centralized data repository, eliminating the need to constantly move or duplicate datasets in processing and analysis workflows. Its modular design integrates high-speed processing, visualization, remote access, project management, flexibility, data security, scalability, and ease of use in one unit. Responsibilities
  • Customer support through email and phone (1st and 2nd level support)
  • Integrate HIVEs and other IT solutions with local IT networks
  • Manufacture of customized server and workstation solutions
  • Deployment and configuration of Windows Server
  • Testing the installation via script / PowerShell
  • Create and manage operating system images
  • Write and maintain documentation
  • Process warranty cases
  • Installation, support, and service remote and at customer sites (travel up to 10%)
Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Completed studies in computer science/business informatics, Fachinformatiker, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Windows system administration and Windows Server management
  • Strong IT support experience
  • Experience in operating network infrastructures
  • Experience in backup systems and data recovery
  • Ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, CMD, PowerShell) is a plus
  • Linux knowledge is an advantage
  • Relevant degrees or certifications are a plus
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; German knowledge is an advantage
