Job description

BenBau Group is an international construction company with Irish roots, specializing in concrete and data centre construction projects across Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. As our operations continue to grow, we are expanding our internal support teams to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day functioning. We are currently looking for a motivated Part-Time IT Support Specialist to join our team in Berlin. You’ll be supporting a diverse and multinational team, with colleagues from Romania, Germany, Poland, Sweden, and beyond, helping to maintain and improve our IT systems and processes.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Part-Time IT Support Specialist to join our team in Berlin. This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation who enjoys helping others and solving IT-related problems efficiently. You will be responsible for general IT support, managing helpdesk tickets, ensuring that new employees are set up with the right equipment and systems, and providing remote support through screen-sharing software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and set up IT equipment (primarily laptops) for new employees.
  • Handle IT support tickets and provide timely resolution to hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure devices are updated and secure.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day technical issues for staff.
  • Support onboarding processes from an IT perspective (accounts setup, access, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors as needed for escalated issues or procurement.
  • Provide remote IT support using screen-sharing software.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with configuring laptops and managing user accounts (Microsoft 365, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Flexibility to be onsite in our Berlin office as needed.
