IT SAP Global Trade Systems Analyst (m/f/d)

Role Summary

The role involves upgrading the SAP GTS on-prem system towards a state-of-the-art SAP RISE hosted environment and building solutions with both SAP and Non-SAP components. Responsibilities include designing and testing prototype and production solutions and ensuring seamless integration. The candidate will work closely with Corning’s GTS DevOps project team and business stakeholders to create standout supply chain offerings powered by SAP. Additionally, the role requires developing strong relationships with stakeholders, continuously learning, and developing technical SAP and business expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Build SAP technology Supply Chain solutions in conjunction with SAP and Non-SAP components
2. Design, set-up, and test prototype and production Supply Chain solutions and ensure that all the pieces work together seamlessly
3. Work with Corning’s GTS DevOps project team, Businesses, Business Engagement, Service Line Owner, to create stand-out supply chain offerings powered by SAP
4. Understand GTS involvement in the Supply Chain process, required Compliance checks in the export process, and work closely with the OTC dev/ops team.
5. Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and gain the trust of key advisors
6. Continue to learn and develop your technical SAP and business expertise

Travel

1. Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 15% depending on business need and requirements

Required Experiences / Education

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or another related field, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Solution Design, end-to-end architecting with SAP GTS and ECC (or S/4) with in-depth knowledge of SAP Best Practices and trends
3. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with solution design activities for GTS projects
4. Excellent communication and written skills to aid in RICEF creation and design document creation
5. Proven track record of working in DevOps teams, projects, upgrades, and deployments
6. OTC (Order to Cash) – Ability to demonstrate SAP (ECC or S/4) Processes for OTC, including related processes as Purchasing and Material Movements
7. GTS – experience in different areas of GTS, such as Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Risk Management
8. Knowledge of Function Modules and User Exits related to the interfaces between ECC/S4 and GTS, as well as troubleshooting data issues
9. Experience in Export processes

Desired Experiences / Skills

1. Experience with RFC connections and data exchange between ECC/S4 and GTS
2. OTC stream - Ability to demonstrate SAP ECC processes in OTC
3. Experience in SD (Sales & Distribution), LE (Logistic Execution), GTS (Global Trade Services), and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) process implementation & customizing
4. Strong knowledge in setting up various kinds of sales and shipping processes and integration with other key modules
5. Experience in dealing with key integration areas procurement, supply chain, warehouse management
6. Conduct working sessions with business users as required to clarify requirements or troubleshoot issues
7. Work in Corning’s ITSM related applications like ServiceNow, Teams, Cloud ALM, Signavio, SharePoint, SAP Solution Manager
