A leading public transport organization in Germany is seeking an IT Project Coordinator to support the implementation and coordination of a core ticketing solution known as (((etiCORE))), based on the VDV core application (VDV-KA) standard.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in electronic fare management systems and project coordination in a regulated or public sector environment. You will serve as the key interface between internal departments, software vendors, and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor IT projects related to the implementation and evolution of the VDV-KA (((etiCORE))) system

• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and progress tracking

• Manage project documentation, milestones, and reporting

• Communicate effectively with international partners and technical providers

• Ensure compliance with standards, deadlines, and project scope

What we are looking for:

• A university degree in IT, Business Informatics, or equivalent technical training

• Solid experience working with VDV-KA systems (minimum version 1.x)

• Fluency in German (C1/native level)

• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

• Experience managing or coordinating IT projects, preferably in the public transport or mobility sector

• Familiarity with VDV-KA version 3.x

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
