Qualifikationen

Your New Tasks

As an officer for IT emergency management, you will help to prepare the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for Central Police Services for current threats. The aim of your new role is to increase the resilience of the authority, e.g. in the event of (prolonged) power outages or successful IT attacks, and to ensure the LZPD's ability to function even in critical situations.

Your Tasks Include, Among Other Things

  • You will support the planning and coordination of emergency preparedness measures.
  • You support the creation of the emergency preparedness concept / emergency manual.
  • You monitor the specifications of the IT emergency framework concept and implement them.
  • You support the measures to prepare for IT infrastructure failures and implement them.
  • You support the coordination and planning of emergency power supply tests.
  • You support the planning and execution of emergency drills.

Organizationally, the advertised position is located in department ZA 3.1. The department is responsible for internal information and communication technology within the LZPD properties.

What You Need To Bring With You

  • You have successfully completed a (technical) university degree (Bachelor's or equivalent university degree) in information technology, electrical engineering, business informatics, business administration with a focus on IT / technology or a comparable subject area.

or

  • You have successfully completed vocational training plus completed further training as a technical business administrator or IT operational professional or as a master craftsman/technician or you have comparable relevant advanced training. You also have at least three years of relevant professional experience.

or

  • You have successfully completed vocational training in the field of IT/technology or as an IT systems electronics technician and have at least six years of relevant professional experience.

and

  • You have a class B driving license (passenger car).

You should also be willing to undergo an extended security check. This requires that you have been resident in the Federal Republic of Germany or an EU member state for at least five years.

Desirable Would Be

  • You have knowledge of emergency and process management and have relevant professional experience.
  • You have analytical thinking skills and are quick on the uptake.
  • You have strongly internalized the characteristic of problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally, you have a class B driving license (car).
  • You are willing to undertake further training.

Remuneration

Our remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). Grouping up to and including pay group 11 TV-L is possible.
