Vodafone Group Services GmbH in Ratingen seeks an IT Operations Specialist to support VGSG and VOIS users across the EU region, handling daily IT issues and working with Global Technology teams.

You’ll manage assets, configure laptops, install Windows and macOS, assist with video conferencing, telephony, room booking, and printing solutions, and help keep IT documentation current.

Qualifikationen

• 2–5 years in IT/IS Operations in a multinational environment.
• Fluent English and German language skills at C1 level.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical competence.
• Experience with Windows desktops/servers and macOS devices.
• Fundamentals of LAN/WAN/IP networking; familiarity with ITIL/Remedy.
• Experience with asset management, ticketing, and IT service delivery.

• Maintain and support IT services for a portfolio of internal customers.
• Resolve service requests and incidents; manage IT assets and replacements.
• Configure new assets (laptops); install Windows and macOS; deploy apps.
• Provide VOIS/Video Conference, telephony, and printing support.

Role purpose:

To effectively work within the Local IT team by participating in the daily work and supporting the VGSG users and VOIS users in any IT related issues withing the EU region. To keep contact with the business, the Global Technology teams and counterparts. To take part of the internal tasks and processes of the Local IT Operations team. To speak up and advise regularly for initiating the internal process improvement ambitions within the Local IT Operations team.

• Be accountable for Services through all lifecycle stages, for a portfolio of (internal) customers
• Support growth of business from internal customers through strategic engagement and relationship
• To check and resolve the service request tickets or incident tickets assigned to IT Operations team
• Manages the repair and replacement of damaged IT Assets
• Setups/configures new assets (laptops) and installs OS (Windows 7, 8.1, 10) and other applications on them
• VOIS EU defined application support
• Manages all IT deliverables according to the Vodafone policies and ensures the SOX compliancy
• Provides support on the following professional areas: Video Conference devices, Telephony solution, Room Booking system, printing solutions
• Keeps contact with the relevant Group IT teams regularly and at certain tasks
• To be familiar with the IT network infrastructure and able to make minor interventions only based on the alignment with the Network Engineer teams
• To keep IT related Guidance documentations updated and present on IT Technical Forums
• Keeps the time and budget constraints
• Understanding of the local market/group function IT strategy, business pressures/challenges

What You Will Do

• 2-5 years-experience of working in an IT/IS Operations/Support team in multinational environment
• Fluent English knowledge
• German C1 level
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge at MS Windows based desktop & server technologies (Windows7, 8, 10,11) and Macbook devices
• Intermediate knowledge on LAN/WAN/IP network technologies, protocols
• Knowledge of some other industries: data centres, voice network (VoIP), Contact Center, Virtualization solutions
• Good IT asset and technical competence
• Familiarity with trouble ticketing approach and systems (esp. Remedy)
• Problem solving skills

Advantages:

• Experience in supporting the deployments of IT infrastructure and Contact Centre IP telephony product sets
• Experience in remote desktop solutions and Remote Desktop Management solutions (Cisco, VDI, TeamViewer, etc.)
• Knowledge of ITIL v4.5 Foundation methodology
