IT Operations Engineer (5×8)

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Engineer (5×8) to oversee daily IDC operations and lead a team supporting a 7×24/5×8 service model for our cloud customer. In this role, you will manage incident response, handle work orders according to SLA standards, and drive continuous improvement across operational processes. You will be responsible for identifying risks, optimizing EOP/SOP procedures, coordinating projects, and ensuring high stability and efficiency of the data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & IDC Operations
• Manage and lead the team to ensure continuous 7×24 and 5×8 on-site IDC coverage as required by the customer (Cloud).
• Supervise daily operations, ensure team compliance with operational standards, and maintain high service stability.
• Incident Response & Work Order Execution
• Respond to incidents promptly and execute work orders—including ad hoc tasks—in accordance with SLA requirements.
• Ensure timely escalation, resolution, and accurate documentation of incidents.
• Risk Management & EOP Optimization
• Identify operational risks and implement effective risk control measures.
• Continuously optimize EOP (Emergency Operation Procedure) processes to improve reliability and prevent recurring issues.
• SOP Compliance & Process Improvement
• Independently complete all work orders following SOP and operational requirements.
• Provide insights to enhance SOP processes, improve quality control, and increase operational efficiency.
• Lead the team in implementing improvements to strengthen overall stability and performance.
• Project Management & Coordination
• Utilize project management tools and methodologies to coordinate tasks and optimize project workflows.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved and deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in data center operations, IT operations, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of IDC operations and IT infrastructure.
• Team management experience, including task allocation, performance follow-up, and coaching.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competence in project coordination and process optimization.
• Logical, clear verbal and written communication; active and polite listening.
• Strong team spirit with a collaborative, supportive attitude.
• Ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced IDC operational environments.
• German + English or German + Chinese.
