A Snapshot of Your Day

As IT Manager (m / f / d) for the Cluster Europe of Switching Gears factory in Berlin, you will lead a skilled team of Digital Business Partners and drive core digital transformation. Your focus will be on improving the factory's IT infrastructure, from network infrastructure to advanced data analytics. You will also play a significant role in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement. A key aspect of your role involves hands-on involvement in digital initiatives, supervising operational technology for the Smart Factory, and recommending improvements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Engage with diverse stakeholders, including team members, clients, and organizational units, to ensure clear and cohesive communication.
2. Apply extensive knowledge of factory operations and technical aspects to develop and implement digital solutions that enhance operations.
3. Lead and motivate the team, delegate tasks efficiently, and drive overall team effectiveness as department head.
4. Analyze complex situations, identify issues and resolutions, and make informed decisions to address challenges successfully.
5. Ensure IT resiliency and availability by designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, scalable systems and processes supporting factory operations.
6. Act as a consultant for digital transformation, grooming use cases, exploring solutions, and providing technical guidance and best practices.
7. Serve as the face of the digital organization in the cluster, bridging between Business and Digital Organization.
8. Manage global and local IT projects, oversee business-specific IT projects, and be accountable for their lifecycle.

What You Bring

1. Master’s degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience managing a team.
3. Expertise in Digital Manufacturing or modernizing operational technology environments.
4. Proven track record in managing and implementing digital projects.
5. Thorough understanding of applications and IT infrastructure, with knowledge of financial and cybersecurity regulations.
6. Experience in managing and specifying business information (cost calculation, budget, forecast, actuals, consumption) for IT services and projects, including establishing cost transparency in liaison with global portfolio, financial teams, IT service and local service owners, IT management, and business administration.
7. Proficiency in both English and German.
8. Experience with Grid Technology is beneficial.
