ABOUT

Our client is a company dedicated to the lightweight construction sector.

ROLE

The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technology-related aspects of the crowd management project. This includes implementing and managing the IT infrastructure needed to support pedestrian simulations, scheduling systems, data storage, and coordination tools with our partners and stakeholders. The IT Manager will ensure that all technological systems are reliable, secure, and optimized to meet the needs of the project while providing technical support to the project team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. IT Infrastructure Management:
    1. Implement and maintain IT infrastructure to support simulation software, scheduling tools, and collaborative platforms.
    2. Oversee the setup and maintenance of secure databases for storing project data, including simulation results and stakeholder information.
    3. Ensure the scalability and reliability of IT infrastructure to meet current and future project demands.
  2. Data Security and Compliance:
    1. Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive project data from unauthorized access or breaches.
    2. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards).
    3. Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain data security and system integrity.
  3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
    1. Provide technical assistance to team members and stakeholders in using project management, scheduling, and simulation tools.
    2. Address IT-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions to project workflows.
    3. Oversee the deployment and integration of communication and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint).
    4. Train team members and partners in the use of these tools to facilitate effective coordination.
  4. Coordination with Simulation and Database Teams:
    1. Work closely with the simulation team to ensure IT systems can handle large-scale computational tasks.
    2. Collaborate with the database team to optimize data storage, access, and analysis.
  5. Stakeholder Communication:
    1. Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to procure and maintain necessary technologies.
    2. Provide updates on IT infrastructure performance and any risks or challenges to project leadership.
  6. General IT Support for Non-Project Related Tasks:
    1. Provide technical assistance to the organization’s IT team for routine maintenance and upgrades of company-wide IT systems and infrastructure.
    2. Support the installation and troubleshooting of hardware and software for non-project staff as needed.
    3. Assist in ensuring company IT policies and procedures are adhered to across all departments.
    4. Provide backup support for ongoing IT operations unrelated to the project, ensuring overall system uptime and functionality.
    5. Contribute to the organization’s broader IT initiatives, such as cybersecurity upgrades, training programs, and digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

  1. Proven experience in IT management, preferably within large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.
  2. Strong understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, and database management.
  3. Familiarity with simulation software and scheduling tools is an advantage.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in Java and other programming languages for developing or customizing project-specific tools and solutions.
  6. Strong experience working within a Microsoft 365 Environment, including Teams, SharePoint, and related applications.
  7. Expertise in Microsoft Azure, with a focus on cloud computing, resource management, and security configurations.
  8. Knowledge of Cloud Environments and their implementation, including scaling and cost optimization strategies.
  9. Familiarity with Visualization tools for data presentation, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  10. Hands-on experience with JIRA for tracking project tasks, managing workflows, and supporting agile project management.
