Position Overview:

We are looking for an IT Maintenance Engineer to join our IT team in BYD's Stuttgart office. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring optimal hardware, software, and network performance. This role will manage day-to-day IT operations, provide technical support, and ensure smooth system functionality across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the HQ IT team to plan, implement, upgrade, and optimize IT networks, servers, and infrastructure
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, and applications
• Continuously monitor and maintain IT systems and networks
• Respond to technical support requests from staff and clients, and provide clear resolutions
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system, network, software, and hardware issues
• Support the rollout of new applications and updates
• Maintain detailed records of issues and solutions for future reference
• Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and warranties
• Implement network security measures in coordination with the HQ IT team
• Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
• Prepare and manage IT equipment for employees, including computers and office devices
• Handle other related tasks and ad hoc assignments as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related IT field
• 1 year of experience in IT support or a related role
• Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are beneficial
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong independent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure
