We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist to strengthen our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, administration, and optimization of our IT infrastructure, contributing to the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems.

This is a permanent position near Mannheim. Fluent German and English is required.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage IT infrastructure operations and improvements.
• Support the design and execution of a comprehensive IT infrastructure and security strategy.
• Perform risk analyses and provide strategic recommendations aligned with company objectives.
• Maintain, monitor, and further develop core infrastructure systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage components such as Active Directory, Exchange Online, cloud interfaces, and backup platforms.
• Lead and participate in infrastructure projects in collaboration with internal departments.
• Manage and liaise with external service providers and vendors.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network environments.
• In-depth knowledge of firewalls, networking, server infrastructure, databases, cloud platforms, virtualization, endpoint management, and telephony systems.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Hands-on mentality with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Technical Experience

• Practical experience with: Veeam, Rubrik, DNS, LDAP, Checkmk
• Familiarity with FortiGate and Cisco technologies is a plus
