Job summary

An IT Infrastructure Manager is sought to lead cloud and data center operations at a long-established, global business in Germany. The role carries full accountability for availability, performance, and service quality across the platform, with responsibility for SLAs, KPIs, backup, DR, and security governance.

You will spearhead capacity planning, lifecycle management, and relationships with hosting, data center, and cloud providers, while guiding transformation projects and ensuring

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud or data center operations.
• Experience leading and developing teams, ideally in an international environment.
• Solid knowledge of modern cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of virtualization, compute, storage, backup, recovery and platform operations.
• Experience operating hybrid infrastructure and managing hosting, data center and cloud provider relationships.
• Knowledge of business continuity, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Experience in infrastructure and transformation projects.
• Fluent German and English, spoken and written.

The role carries full accountability for availability, performance, and service quality across the platform estate, with direct influence over how cloud and data center operating models are developed, standardised, and automated.

The role:

• Ensure stable, secure and cost-effective operation of cloud and data center platforms.
• Own SLA and KPI performance across platform services.
• Manage backup, recovery, high availability and business continuity.
• Lead capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Manage external cloud, hosting and data center providers.

• Work closely with Information Security, IT Architecture and Application Management, with input into how team roles, processes and skills evolve.
