Job Description:

Position Summary: The IT Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for all local IT hardware, deployment and continuous improvement of programs and systems, supporting employees on site. Together with the EU Team he/she will maintain, and support other EU locations.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• IT-support in Betzdorf (on site) and other the European facilities (remote) related to hardware, VMware, telephone system and network (it will be a plus).
• Assist users with questions about Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
• VMware support for the deployment of new servers, updates, data. protection with Veeam to comply with the RegalRexnord strategy.
• Maintenance, inspection and support of server systems on site and at the EU locations via remote maintenance.
• Maintenance of the EU-specific backup and VMware environment.
• Leading IT projects European wide.

Requirements

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS

• Successfully completed training as an IT specialist as well as further training as an IT systems manager or a degree with a focus on information technology.
• Several (more than 5) years of relevant professional experience in the field of IT, ideally in a similar position in an international industrial company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and oral.
• Experience supporting employees working from home as well as in the office, especially with Office 365 and identity management components.
• Excellent technical knowledge of servers, VMware, desktop OS Windows 10 and experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Structured way of working, ability to work in a team and high goal orientation.
• Proven right to live and work in Germany.

PREFERRED

• Service management mindset and expertise to use Service management tools.
• e.g.: (Service Now)
• Leadership skills for training employees.
• Flexible attitude is desired.

Travel: not frequent, if needed for on-site EU support
Language: German, English, fluent
