To strengthen our Digital Forensics & Incident Response team, we are looking for a IT specialist for system integration, IT forensic scientist or similar as IT (Cyber) Security Specialist - Incident Responder (m/f/d)

As a Senior Incident Responder / IT Forensic Specialist (m/f/d), you will guide customers through security crises, analyze affected systems for attacks and actively search for hidden threats throughout the network.

We, SySS GmbH, are an IT service company with a focus on IT security. Founded in 1998, we are now the market leader in the field of penetration testing and employ a team of around 175 people at four locations in Tübingen, Frankfurt am Main, Munich and Vienna. Our work focuses on hacking web applications and IT infrastructures of well-known customers of all sizes and industries, many of whom we have been advising for many years.

YOUR TASKS WITH US

• As an incident responder, you will be responsible for handling and managing security incidents for our customers. These range from initial breaches to extensive threat hunts across the entire network.
• You accompany the customer through crisis management as incident lead.
• Digital forensic investigation of clients, servers and mobile devices for traces of attacks and manipulation; malware analysis and financial fraud.
• Further development and automation of modern DFIR IT infrastructure.
• You stay on the ball and continuously develop your professional and technical knowledge.

YOUR PROFILE

• Several years of professional experience in the field of IT security (e.g. IT specialist for system integration, IT forensic scientist) with a focus on Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR).
• Wide-ranging expertise in classic IT technologies, experience in working with forensic tools (including Autopsy, Volatility, Eric Zimmermann tools) and workflows (imaging, evaluation and documentation) as well as attack detection (Yara, Sigma, SIEM, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Willingness to travel and participate in on-call duty.
• Professional appearance and very good communication skills at all hierarchical levels, primarily in German, but also in English.
• Interest also in offensive security.
