IT Consultant for Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) (m/f/d)

We are looking for an IT Consultant for Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) (m/f/d) to support our Global Function IT in Frankfurt (Industrialpark Höchst).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end activities related to the ELN infrastructure with DevOps teams and ELN external partners for infrastructure management activities.
• Manage user communication, training, and support. Handle user management, role-based permissions, and access controls within the ELN system to ensure proper security. Address user requests, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to ELN users across the organization.
• Oversee incident management processes in ServiceNow and Jira, ensuring timely issue resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
• Configure and optimize system workflows, templates, forms, and user experience in alignment with business requirements. Collaborate with the IT owner to drive user adoption and continuously improve the ELN system.
• Document configurations, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the ELN system.
• Leverage data engineering, data analytics, and data processing skills using Python or other tools to support R&D data analytics initiatives.

Requirements

• University degree in business or information technology or comparable expertise
• Excellent process knowledge in the areas of Electronic Lab Notebook
• Experience in incident management and user support processes (ServiceNow, Jira or similar tools)
• Experience in data analysis, reporting and working with R&D data
• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical, chemical or life sciences industry would be highly advantageous
• Experience in working in global cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills & structured working method
